RISE participated in the International Conference “Technology for Maritime Surveillance and Emergency Management” held on 12-13 November 2019 at the University of Algarve, in Faro, Portugal. During the conference important topics related to the sector were discussed, such as: Maritime Surveillance Industry 4.0, Financing Opportunities for Maritime Surveillance and Ocean Technologies, among many others. The range of speakers included experts from EU agencies, national entities and leading organizations presenting state-of-the-art technologies used for maritime surveillance, emergency prevention and response. In this context, RISE and its experience on emerging technologies that can be successfully applied in the sector were presented by Dr Zenonas Theodosiou.
