ABOUT THE POSITION:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of Entrepreneurship position:
- Create awareness internally and help create the strategy for the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem for CYENS.
- Lead and manage a comprehensive entrepreneurship development strategy to enhance the Research, Technology, Development and Innovation (RTDI) capacity on the Centre. Help in the establishment of a vibrant entrepreneurship community at CYENS with co-working, incubation, and start-up spaces.
- Implement activities like the CYENS accelerator programs, hackathons, mentorship and residencies.
- Support entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and partners within CYENS ecosystems on business planning and other entrepreneurship needs and activities.
- Secure funding through EU proposals and generate income to support entrepreneurship activities.
- Engage under-represented groups in entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Manage daily operations, administration, and budget for entrepreneurship facilities and programs.
- Develop an innovative and sustainable funding model for facilities and programs.
- Create a monitoring system for venue users and strategic community engagement.
- Collaborate with Training and Education Manager to manage subcontractors.
- Contribute to marketing strategy and brand building of CYENS Entrepreneurship activities.
- Oversee occupancy and composition of CYENS Co-working space and Entrepreneurship facilities.
- Develop new initiatives to enhance utilization and engagement.
- Stay updated with international best practices in entrepreneurship development, focusing on emerging technology and regional development.
Desired Qualifications & Requirements:
General qualifications and requirements
- University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or Degree of a level equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree) or Diploma or Certificate, study title, qualifications or relevant training acquired in Business or Technology relevant fields.
- Relevant Masters degree will be considered an advantage
- At least 3 years of experience of entrepreneurship and / or start-up communities.
- Experience of building communities, teams, groups or networks and co-working environments will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in managing a team, directly or indirectly will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of new and emerging ICT technologies, such as IoT, AI, Virtual/Augmented Reality will be considered an advantage.
- Language requirements: Excellent written and oral English-language skills will be required.
- For non-EU applicants a work permit will be required
